Deya Client Case Study
IKEA is the world’s largest furniture and home furnishing retailers with store in over 40 countries. Deya have worked with IKEA on a number of occasions to assist with targeted distribution of their annual catalogue.
Deya have full delivery coverage of all addresses within the UK, and IKEA wanted to target the optimum areas for delivery without the restriction of limited delivery coverage. Deya were asked to deliver in some of the more rural areas and in central urban areas which the incumbent supplier was not able to reach.
Deya’s database of more than 200,000 active deliverers and local organisers means all areas of the country can be reached, however remote.
IKEA selected targeted areas for delivery, and Deya delivered over 3m catalogues within a 3 week period. The delivery areas were based around stores, with almost 1m of the catalogues going into London and the surrounding area.
Our experience in London and our significant van team resource meant that this large volume going into London in a short period did not pose a problem.
The delivery was verified by an independent auditor appointed by IKEA, and Deya’s results consistently beat agreed targets.
The consistency of quality is provided by several elements.
- Excellent in house documented procedures and systems that Deya have developed, including a bespoke database which is used in all aspects of managing a distribution.
- A customer portal which can be used to independently track progress and provides complete transparency.
- All local organisers and deliverers are managed directly by Deya, and no work is sub- contracted to other suppliers. This allows for much better management control of all aspects of the delivery
- Customer services provision. Deya have their own customer services department to ensure that if there are any delivery issues they are dealt with promptly.
